Step 2: I did some free-writing, I immediately responding to the controversial idea of something that you got delight in never telling anyone, and thought of unrequited love.
Step 3: I opened a word document to be able to work with clean formatting. It was way too early for a title, but when I needed to save the document "(Un)requited love" was clear for me to be able to find it again.
Step 4: It was a surprise to me to discover in the writing,
that the narrator of the note ended up
speaking aloud to the object of their love and crossing the boundary from unspoken, unrequited love to spoken, requited love.
So I free-wrote again by hand on the requited love portion of the relationship.

Step 5: After free-writing I went back to the text and made some edits, some were word-choice, some were font and formatting.
I titled it "(Un)requited love later" to be able to find the two versions for this project. Now I also hear later/letter.

However, when it came time, after I had my final draft for the day (remember these are still working drafts). I needed to title it and (Un)requited love gave away the story to quickly. "A Fan" felt more appropriate to the sentiment of the writer towards the object of their affection.
